OUTLETS in kitchen islands are AGAINST CODE now. At least hidden access outlets are still deemed safe enough. I'm surprised outlets below 4' on a wall are allowed at all. They are so dangerous to kids and modern adults with the tripping and snagging. Falling lamp hospital visits are off the charts! Trying to prevent every possible accident situation leads to ridiculous rules and new accidents start happening.
