LAHORE – The Punjab government has ordered the rollout of colour-coded trash bins across the province as part of a modern waste-management initiative, inspired by systems used in developed countries.

Residents of three communities in the Back Mountain will soon transfer to a color-coded recycling system using three different bins. Yellow is for glass. Red is for plastic, aluminum, tin and steel.
